Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) has released a notification to engage 394 Apprentices in its Pipelines Division across different states of India under the Apprentices Act, 1961.

Region-wise Vacancy:

  • Eastern Region Pipelines (ERPL): 101
  • Western Region Pipelines (WRPL): 136
  • Northern Region Pipelines (NRPL): 54
  • Southern Region Pipelines (SRPL): 40
  • South Eastern Region Pipelines (SERPL): 63

IOCL Pipelines Division Recruitment Eligibility Criteria

(1) Technician Apprentice (Mechanical)

Qualification:

Full-time 3 years Diploma in:

  • Mechanical Engineering
    OR
  • Automobile Engineering

Lateral entry candidates (after 12th Science / ITI, admitted in 2nd year diploma) are also eligible.

(2) Technician Apprentice (Electrical)

Qualification:

Full-time 3 years Diploma in:

  • Electrical Engineering
    OR
  • Electrical & Electronics Engineering

Lateral entry candidates (after 12th Science / ITI, admitted in 2nd year diploma) are also eligible.

(3) Technician Apprentice (Telecommunication & Instrumentation)

Qualification:

Full-time 3 years Diploma from a Govt. recognized institute in any of the following:

  • Electronics & Communication Engineering
  • Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering
  • Electronics & Radio Communication Engineering
  • Instrumentation & Control Engineering
  • Instrumentation & Process Control Engineering
  • Electronics Engineering

Lateral entry candidates (after 12th Science / ITI, admitted in 2nd year diploma) are also eligible.

(4) Trade Apprentice (Assistant - Human Resource)

Qualification:

  • Full-time Bachelor's Degree (Graduation) in any discipline from a Govt. recognized University/Institute.

(5) Trade Apprentice (Accountant)

Qualification:

  • Full-time Bachelor's Degree in Commerce (B.Com) from a Govt. recognized University/Institute.

(6) Data Entry Operator (Fresher Apprentice)

Qualification:

  • Must have passed 12th Class (but below Graduate)

(7) Domestic Data Entry Operator (Skill Certificate Holders)

Qualification:

Must have passed 12th Class (but below Graduate). In addition to this, they must possess a Skill Certificate of "Domestic Data Entry Operator" for a training course of less than one year. This certificate should be issued by an awarding body recognized under the National Skill Qualifications Framework (NSQF) or by any other authority recognized by the Central Government. 

Age Limit (as on 31.01.2026):

  • Minimum Age: 18 years
  • Maximum Age: 24 years

Age Relaxation:

  • SC/ST: 05 years
  • OBC: 03 years
  • PwBD: 10 years

IOCL Pipelines Division Apprentice 2026 Salary

During apprenticeship training, candidates will get monthly stipend as per Government of India rules:

  • Trade Apprentice (ITI): Rs.7,000-8,000/- per month
  • Technician Apprentice (Diploma): Rs.8,000/- per month
  • Graduate Apprentice: Rs.9,000/- per month

IOCL Pipelines Division Recruitment 2026 How to Apply 

Eligible candidates must first register on the appropriate apprenticeship portal - NAPS (apprenticeshipindia.gov.in) for Trade Apprentices like Data Entry Operator, or NATS (nats.education.gov.in) for Technician Apprentices and Graduate Apprentices. After applying for the apprenticeship opportunity of Indian Oil Corporation Limited on the respective NATS/NAPS portal between 28 January 2026 to 10 February 2026, candidates must also complete their application on the Indian Oil Pipelines portal (plapps.indianoilpipelines.in).

Indian Oil Recruitment Selection Process

The selection process for IOCL Pipelines Division Apprentice Recruitment 2026 will be based entirely on merit, and no written test or interview will be conducted. The merit list will be prepared based on the marks obtained by the candidates in their qualifying examination. Candidates with higher marks will be given priority, and in case of a tie in marks, the older candidate will be placed higher in the merit list.
